Selecting the right travel crate and crate training your pet are two of the most important aspects of international pet travel. The crate is your dog’s or cat’s safe space throughout the journey, so choosing the correct type – whether a soft carrier for in-cabin travel, a fibre crate for excess baggage or manifested cargo, or a custom wooden or steel crate for larger breeds-is essential. Equally important is introducing your pet to the crate well before the travel date, as proper crate training helps reduce stress and ensures a safer, more comfortable journey. While we help you select the ideal travel crate, consistent crate training before departure is one of the most important responsibilities of every pet parent.
